Battery Recycling: SIG Energy Technology Supports You
Under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, legal responsibility for recycling lies with the entity that places its brand or name on the battery, in accordance with Article 3 of Regulation (UE) 2023/1542 of July 12, 2023. As SIG Energy Technology does not hold this producer status for these equipments, final treatment remains the regulatory responsibility of their holder or the distributor who placed them on the market.
However, because our commitment to sustainable energy is at the core of what we do, we have chosen to support our clients with their logistics. We provide a new dedicated interface exclusively for our clients and act as an intermediate collection point solely for volumes under 400 kg.
A Strategic Partnership with Batribox For eligible volumes, we rely on our partnership with BATRIBOX, the leading eco-organism for battery collection and recycling in France. This partnership guarantees full traceability and optimal treatment of end-of-life materials.
A Dedicated Interface for Volumes Under 400 kg We have created a specific interface to allow you to quickly and easily declare and schedule the collection of your volumes under 400 kg.
How it works:
Step 1: Submit your request You fill out the dedicated form directly on our platform.
Step 2: Drop off your products (<400kg) Once the request is validated, we receive your cells and modules to store them in our facilities.
Step 3: Collection by BATRIBOX We coordinate with Batribox for the collection and final treatment of these batches under 400 kg.
This new feature allows our partners to free themselves from the logistical constraints of storing used products while guaranteeing a controlled environmental impact.
