SIG Energy Technology, an innovative leader in the lithium-ion battery sector, is seeking a passionate Project Engineer / Project Manager who is enthusiastic about advanced technologies and the energy market. You will join a dynamic team to develop custom solutions, combining technical expertise with strategic insight. Your role will be critical in supporting clients through their energy transition and strengthening our market presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze customer needs in energy storage solutions and propose appropriate technical architectures (cells, BMS, system integration).
  • Understand battery challenges (energy density, lifetime, safety) to provide expert guidance.
  • Lead the delivery of solutions from design to deployment, in close collaboration with R&D teams.
  • Explore new markets (industry, e-mobility, renewable energy) and identify trends (recycling, solid-state, etc.).
  • Monitor innovations (materials, manufacturing processes) and competitors to adapt our offering.

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Engineering degree in electrical or energy engineering, with a focus on batteries/lithium-ion applications.
  • Strong knowledge of lithium-ion technologies (LiFePO4, NMC, etc.) and their ecosystems (charging, safety).
  • Experience with technical data analysis (performance, aging) is a plus.

MARKET KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of relevant regulations (EU, safety) and key players (suppliers, OEMs).
  • Ability to synthesize technical and economic aspects for client-facing communication.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in technical English required; additional languages (Mandarin, German) are a plus.
