Innovation through recycled cell spacers: adaptable and dismountable modules

At SIG Energy Technology, innovation starts at the component level to redefine overall battery architecture. By designing our cell spacers made in France from recycled materials, we have laid the foundation for a new generation of fully adaptable and repairable modules.
Manufactured in France from recycled material, this spacer does much more than meet our eco-responsibility commitments: it performs essential mechanical functions:
Optimal pressure maintenance: Uniform compression across all cells mitigates swelling over cycles and extends battery lifespan.
Dismountable architecture: Designed for targeted insertion, it allows a defective cell to be easily removed and replaced without dismantling the entire module.
It is precisely thanks to the properties of this spacer that we developed our modules, built on a standard 173 mm width platform.
This flexible design enables us to:
Integrate a wide range of cells, from small capacities up to 324 Ah, depending on your project requirements.
Adapt to all applications: electric mobility, marine, or stationary energy storage.
Guarantee operational repairability, extending the overall lifespan of the battery system through simplified cell replacement.
By combining local manufacturing using recycled materials, modularity, and simplified maintenance, SIG Energy Technology demonstrates that high energy density can go hand in hand with eco-design.
