Partnership with Top Dutch Solar Racing

Top Dutch Solar Racing is a multidisciplinary student team from Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands. The team consists of 22 students ranging, among others, from to communication to engineering field and beyond.

With this project consisted of connecting talented individuals from diverse colleges and universities to collaborate for the best outcome. Through this cooperation, the best of both worlds came out: the pragmatic approach of vocational college students, and analytical mindset of university students, all brought together in their newly built solar car "Green Spirit".

SIG Energy Technology played a full part in this project by partnering with the student team to provide Green Spirit with the most suitable custom cells for the battery pack. Naturally we ensured that the cells we supplied were perfectly suited to the solar car to make it as efficient as possible.
